Until June 14 you have time for visit in Toledo the main one of the exhibitions that take place on the occasion of the celebration of the fourth centenary of the death of Greco.
Indeed, within Greco program 2014, at Santa Cruz Museum from Toledo as main headquarters, you can visit the exposition The Greek of Toledo, in which they have gathered more than one hundred works of the great Cretan artist, becoming the largest exhibition dedicated to Greco ever made.
Against what we may think, it turns out that until now it had never been done in Toledo an exhibition of the work of El Greco, although in that city you can visit the Greco museum, where you can see some of his works, and above all, you have the opportunity to enjoy the Burial of the Lord of Orgaz in the Santo Tomé church.

Now and until June this exhibition is based on Santa Cruz Museum, where 20 works ceded by various museums and international institutions are exhibited.
Among them, the Louvre from Paris, the Metropolitan Museum from New York, the National Gallery from London the Capodimonte museum from Naples, the Hermitage museum from St. Petersburg, the Museum of Fine Arts from Seville, the National Museum of Art of Catalonia from Barcelona, the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum from Madrid, or the Prado Museum.
Precisely from this last institution you can now see in Toledo one of Greco's best known works as The gentleman's hand on his chest.
Apart from the aforementioned museum, the exhibition is also complemented by the works that are exhibited in other venues of the city, specifically, the Toledo Cathedral, he Tavera Hospital, the aforementioned Santo Tomé church, the Chapel of San José and the Convent of Santo Domingo el Antiguo.

The ticket prices to see the exhibition in the museum of Santa Cruz are, generally, 10 euros; reduced, 5 euros, for students between 18 and 25 years old, children between 2 and 12 years old, seniors + 65, holders of Youth Card and unemployed people.
